2月中旬から、ようやく読み始めた。
まずは『アナキズム・イン・ザ・UK』。続いて『ヨーロッパ・コーリング』、4月に『THIS IS JAPAN』と『子どもたちの階級闘争』。5月になってから『ザ・レフト』。
理路整然としているけれど、決して乱暴でも押しつけがましくもないし、鼻にかけた表現もしないので、言葉がまっすぐ入ってくる。ブレイディみかこのリズム感、ものすごく好き。
この人のおかげでまた英国への望郷の念が強くなってきている。
だから『This Is England』も買っちゃった。すっかり夢中になっちゃってそのあとYouTubeで続編も全部観た。
どうも彼らの描く英国には救いがない。『子どもたち』と『レフト』は僕自身がまったく救いがなくなってから読み始めているんだけど、自分の苦しみ（というのもおこがましい）なんて屁みたいなもんだとしか思えない。
そして彼らの描く英国の人達は、果てしなく愛おしい。駄目な感じを隠さず（隠す術を知らず）、ひたすら、生きる。
そう。生きるのだ。
